The C# Special Interest Group met last night at Hal-PC headquarters for what I believe to be a very informative presentation.
The subject of the Beginning C# presentation was Generics. Group leader, Bobby Scaffer, gave a great overview of Generics and how they work. He had some good code samples as well.
The main presentation was given by Markus Egger, President of EPS Software and CoDe Magazine. He spoke about the present and future of C#, going over the features that were included with the .NET 2.0 Framework as well as the new features in the upcoming .NET 3.0 Framework. Some of these features include: anonymous types, lambda expressions and LINQ. Markus did point out that LINQ is pretty much the biggest feature as it take most of the other features he mentioned to make LINQ work.
All in all, it was an informative night.
